What end of support means
A version past its date keeps running. It gets no more security fixes or help from the vendor, and the people who know how your system was built on it tend to move on around the same time.
Microsoft 365 keeps Access and Excel going, so the version you run matters more than the product name. Check the version on every PC that opens the file, not only on yours.
If the system has to change anyway, it can become one connected system that automation and AI can plug into. A like-for-like copy keeps the old gaps, such as the spreadsheets around it, the steps done by hand and the know-how in one person's head.
Questions
No. Access is still part of Microsoft 365. Specific boxed versions reach end of support: Access 2016 and 2019 on 14 October 2025, and Access 2021 on 13 October 2026. After that date a version gets no more security fixes.
No. It keeps running. It just stops getting security fixes and help from the vendor, so every month on it adds risk.
